Running on Android-based OPhone 1.5, the Acer beTouch T500 delivered a user experience that was quite limited by today's standards but was adequate for the period it was released. The operating system, being a variant of early Android, offered a glimpse into the capabilities that would later become mainstays in Android smartphones. It came equipped with 256MB of RAM and 512MB of internal storage, which was expandable via a microSDHC slot. This configuration provided just enough capability for basic applications and multitasking, although performance lag was noticeable when handling more demanding tasks.
