Performance
At its core, the Acer Iconia Tab A100 is powered by the Nvidia Tegra 2 T20 chipset, featuring a dual-core 1.0 GHz Cortex-A9 CPU and a ULP GeForce GPU. While this hardware was competitive when released, offering decent multitasking capabilities and performance for games and apps of its time, it struggles with more demanding tasks by today's standards. The tablet originally runs on Android 3.0 but is upgradable to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), which improves its utility slightly with a more refined user experience. With 1GB of RAM and options of 8GB or 16GB of internal storage, the device provides basic operational functionality, although users may find the need to leverage the microSDHC card slot for additional storage space.
