Under the hood, the Iconia Tab A3 runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean), which was a competent OS during its time, providing a user-friendly interface with access to numerous apps on the Google Play Store. The device is equipped with a chipset from MediaTek, featuring two variants: the MT8125T for the Wi-Fi model and the MT8389W for the 3G model. A quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 processor powers the tablet, backed by 1GB of RAM. While this setup was satisfactory for basic tasks, it may struggle with more demanding applications or multitasking due to the limited RAM.
