Hardware and Performance
Powered by an Nvidia Tegra 2 T20 chipset, the A501 features a dual-core 1.0 GHz Cortex-A9 CPU and a ULP GeForce GPU. This hardware combination provided sufficient power for the Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) operating system, which was upgradable to version 3.2. However, by modern standards, the hardware feels dated and would struggle with contemporary applications and multitasking demands. Internally, it offered storage configurations of 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB, paired with 1GB of RAM, and users could expand storage further via a microSDHC card slot.
