Performance
Under the hood, the Acer Iconia Tab A701 is powered by the Nvidia Tegra 3 chipset with a quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A9 CPU and a ULP GeForce GPU. This combination was powerful in 2012, capable of handling everyday tasks and most multimedia applications with ease. The device originally came with Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich, which was a standard OS of the time. While the performance is adequate for basic functionality, more intensive applications may challenge the hardware, and the 1GB of RAM may not be sufficient for heavy multitasking by today's standards.
