Performance and Software
Powered by the MediaTek MT6589 chipset, the Acer Liquid S1 houses a quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU supplemented by a PowerVR SGX544 GPU. While this combination was satisfactory for everyday tasks such as calling, texting, and light browsing, it struggled with more demanding applications or multitasking, especially given its 1GB of RAM. The device runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean accompanied by Acer’s Float UI, which adds some customization and multitasking features but might appear outdated today. The software experience is adequate for users with basic smartphone needs but could prove sluggish under heavier loads.
