Performance
Under the hood, the Acer Stream ran on Android 2.1 (Eclair), powered by a Qualcomm QSD8250 Snapdragon S1 chipset featuring a 1.0 GHz Scorpion CPU and Adreno 200 GPU. During its time, this configuration allowed for basic tasks and light multi-tasking; however, it quickly became outdated as newer, more demanding applications were developed. The internal memory was limited to 2 GB, supported by 512 MB of RAM, which restrained its performance, but the included 8 GB microSDHC card provided space for essential apps and media storage.
