Alcatel 2012 Design and Display

Design and Display

The Alcatel 2012 is compact and lightweight, with dimensions of 107 x 53.7 x 14 mm and a weight of just 98 grams. Its clamshell form factor not only offers a nostalgic appeal but also serves a practical purpose, protecting the screen and keypad from accidental presses and scratches when not in use. The device comes in a single color variant, Dark Chocolate, which lends it a classic aesthetic. The design includes either a single SIM or dual SIM option, both using the Mini-SIM format.

The phone features a 2.8-inch TFT display with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels, yielding a pixel density of about 143 PPI. Although the screen size and resolution are modest by today's standards, for its time and intended market, it provided adequate clarity for basic tasks such as reading text messages and viewing call logs. With a screen-to-body ratio of approximately 42.3%, the Alcatel 2012 is not about maximizing display size but rather focusing on uncomplicated utility.
