At its core, the Idol X+ is powered by a Mediatek MT6592 chipset featuring an octa-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A7 processor and a Mali-450MP4 GPU. This configuration, coupled with 2GB of RAM, offers smooth multitasking and satisfactory performance for most applications available during its release period. Users could choose between 16GB and 32GB of internal storage options, with the added flexibility of a dedicated microSDHC slot for expansion.
Despite running Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean out of the box, users had the option to upgrade to Android 4.4.4 KitKat, which improved the overall system performance and added features. The phone, however, lacks LTE support, which may be a limitation for those who prioritize high-speed data connectivity.
