Running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the Alcatel One Touch Tab 8 HD delivers an experience typical of early Android tablets. Powered by a dual-core 1.6 GHz CPU, it handles basic tasks such as browsing the web and running standard applications fairly well. The 1GB RAM, although limited by today’s standards, is adequate for the undemanding software environment it runs on. Some occasional lag may be expected with more intensive tasks or multitasking.
