Performance and Software
Under the hood, the Alcatel OT-890 runs on a Mediatek MT6516 chipset with a 420 MHz CPU. It was powered by Android 2.1 Eclair, which was one of the earlier versions of Android, offering a basic but functional smartphone experience. This hardware and software combination was adequate for basic tasks such as calling, texting, and light browsing but struggled with more demanding applications. The phone provided 150MB of internal storage, expandable via a microSDHC slot, which also came with a 2GB card included to help with storage limitations.
