Alcatel OT-890D Design and Display

Design and Display

The Alcatel OT-890D is compact and lightweight, with dimensions of 110 x 58 x 12.6 mm and a weight of 100.7 grams. This makes it quite easy to carry around in pockets or small bags. Its design might feel basic by modern standards, but the dual-SIM feature, which uses Mini-SIM cards, was a significant advantage for users who needed to separate personal and work contacts or travel frequently. The device uses a 2.8-inch TFT resistive touchscreen, supporting 256K colors. Although the screen size and the approximate 38.1% screen-to-body ratio are relatively small, they were fairly typical for the era of its release. The screen resolution of 320 x 240 pixels results in a modest 143 ppi density; while this doesn't offer the sharp detail found in contemporary models, it is adequate for simple navigation and basic tasks.
