The Alcatel OT-916 runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), an operating system that was widespread during its time of release. It operates on a Mediatek MT6573 chipset with a 650 MHz Cortex-A9 CPU and a PowerVR SGX531 GPU. While such specifications might seem modest today, they were adequate for basic functions and light applications back then. The internal storage is limited to 150MB, but it includes a dedicated microSDHC slot for expanded storage options, allowing users to store more apps and media.
