Design and Build
With a body measuring 133 x 54 x 25 mm and a weight of 160 grams, the Alcatel OT Max was a phone of significant presence both in terms of physicality and durability. Its structure was inherently simple, featuring a design ethos that favored functionality over aesthetics. The use of a Mini-SIM was standard for the period, providing users with a straightforward way to connect to GSM 900 networks. The phone's design accommodated an alphanumeric display capable of showing up to 2 x 12 characters, which was primarily useful for basic messaging and call interfacing.
