The phone was devoid of a loudspeaker and a 3.5mm headphone jack, which would have limited its utility for multimedia consumption. It did, however, support a wide range of downloadable polyphonic ringtones and vibrational alerts, which were popular methods of personalization at the time. On the communications front, the lack of modern connectivity options like WLAN, Bluetooth, or any form of digital positioning meant the device was firmly rooted in basic telecommunications rather than anything resembling present-day smartphones.
