Apple iPad Air (2019) Design and Display

Design and Display

One of the initial attractions of the iPad Air (2019) is its design. The tablet measures just 6.1 mm in thickness, making it impressively slim, and it weighs around 456 grams for the Wi-Fi model and 464 grams for the LTE model. This balance of size and weight ensures a comfortable handheld experience. Constructed with a glass front, aluminum back, and an aluminum frame, it delivers a robust yet elegant look. The device supports the first-generation Apple Pencil, adding a layer of functionality for graphics work, note-taking, or navigation.

The iPad Air comes with a 10.5-inch IPS LCD display that offers a resolution of 1668 x 2224 pixels. With a pixel density of approximately 265 ppi, the display is crisp and clear, offering a vibrant visual experience. Additionally, the screen benefits from scratch-resistant glass with an oleophobic coating to reduce fingerprint smudges, as well as True Tone technology, which adjusts the screen's color balance to match the ambient lighting.
