Under the hood, the Archos 50 Helium 4G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset, which was quite popular among mid-range smartphones of its time. The quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU, combined with an Adreno 305 GPU, provided sufficient performance for basic tasks and light gaming. It runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, and while it was sufficient for the time, users might find it lacking now amidst modern apps and requirements. The device's 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage — expandable via microSDHC — were considered standard for mid-range phones back in 2014.
