Under its hood, the Asus Fonepad 7 was powered by an Intel Atom Z2560 chipset, with a dual-core 1.6 GHz processor and PowerVR SGX544MP2 GPU. The device came with versions supporting 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB of internal storage, all paired with 1GB of RAM. While these specs were modest even by 2013 standards, the device was capable of handling day-to-day tasks, such as light multitasking and basic applications, adequately. Moreover, it ran on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), with an option to upgrade to 4.4.2 (KitKat), providing an acceptable user interface, though somewhat limited compared to modern standards.
