Performance and Software
Under the hood, the PadFone mini 4G is powered by an Intel Atom Z2560 chipset, featuring a dual-core 1.6 GHz processor and a PowerVR SGX544MP2 GPU. While this setup might not stand up to today’s powerhouse devices, it could handle typical daily tasks like browsing and app usage smoothly back in 2014. The device runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, a version that is now obsolete, but it was relatively modern at its time of release. The internal memory capacity is only 8GB, alongside 1GB of RAM, which limits heavy multitasking or storage for large apps and files. Fortunately, the inclusion of a microSDXC card slot allows for expanded storage.
