At the heart of the Zenfone 2E lies an Intel Atom Z2560 chipset, supported by a dual-core 1.6 GHz CPU and the PowerVR SGX544MP2 GPU. This setup, combined with 1GB of RAM, indicated that the phone was designed for basic tasks like web browsing, social media, and light app usage. Upon launch, it ran on Android 5.0 Lollipop skinned with Asus' ZenUI, which offered additional features and customization options absent from stock Android. However, multitasking and handling demanding applications could be seen as limitations given the modest hardware.
