On the photography front, the E71 is equipped with a 1.3 MP camera, which was more of a novelty feature at the time. It can capture basic snapshots and record video in QCIF format. The absence of a selfie camera indicates that the E71 was pre-smartphone era, where front-facing cameras were not yet standard.
