Functionally, the BenQ S680C adhered to the basics, supporting SMS and MMS through its WAP 2.0/xHTML browser. It also included games with downloadable options, and support for Java applications using MIDP 1.0, which allowed for limited third-party app installation. The phone lacked modern sensors, but did offer predictive text input, which was a useful feature for quicker text messaging.
