Design and Build
The BlackBerry 7100v has a classic candy-bar design underscored by its dimensions of 114 x 56 x 20 mm and a weight of 120 grams, making it quite portable and easy to hold. Unlike the traditional QWERTY keyboards found on most BlackBerry devices of the time, this model features a condensed QWERTY keyboard, a hybrid between standard mobile phone keypads, and full QWERTY, designed to make typing faster and more intuitive with predictive text. The use of a mini-SIM and the absence of modern conveniences such as a 3.5mm headphone jack and a microSD slot highlights the era it comes from, where compactness and basic functionality were prioritized.
