BlackBerry 7100x Design and Build

Design and Build

The BlackBerry 7100x was designed with a QWERTY keyboard, albeit in a reduced format, that introduced the innovative SureType technology. This allowed users to type efficiently with fewer keys, combining the convenience of a traditional phone keypad with the functionality of a QWERTY keyboard. Measuring 114 x 56 x 20 mm and weighing 120 grams, the BlackBerry 7100x was relatively compact and lightweight for its era, making it portable and practical for on-the-go professionals. Its understated design was complemented by a 2.2-inch display that, while modest by modern standards, was quite functional with 65K colors and a resolution of 240 x 260 pixels.
