The BlackBerry Bold 9780 includes a single rear-facing 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash. This camera was capable of producing reasonably clear images under good lighting conditions, and the flash improved low-light performance. However, the absence of a front-facing camera meant that the device was not suitable for video calls—something increasingly sought after at the time. Video recording capabilities were included but were basic, making the camera suitable only for casual use and not for high-quality media capturing.
