The device is powered by a 32-bit Intel XScale PXA272 processor clocked at 312 MHz, running on the BlackBerry OS. Although limited in its capabilities compared to modern smartphones, at its time, it provided smooth performance for tasks such as emailing, messaging, and basic web browsing. The inclusion of BlackBerry Maps offered basic location services, although the phone lacks GPS support.
