Connectivity on the Pearl Flip 8230 is basic; it does not support WLAN, which limits internet access to its cellular capabilities. The absence of GPS and radio further limits its connectivity options, but the inclusion of microUSB 2.0 allows for charging and data transfer. The device operates on CDMA/EVDO technology and is compatible with both 2G and 3G networks, with EV-DO Rev.0 providing data speeds up to 153.2 Kbps.
