The BlackBerry Priv distinguished itself through its distinctive design, characterized by a slider form factor that revealed a physical QWERTY keyboard beneath the touchscreen. For those nostalgic for BlackBerry's classic devices, the keyboard provided a tactile typing experience, which many users preferred over virtual keyboards. Measuring 147 x 77.2 x 9.4 mm and weighing 192 grams, the Priv was slightly hefty, largely due to the sliding mechanism and robust build. The front featured Gorilla Glass 4 for increased durability, while the back and frame were constructed from plastic, maintaining a sleek yet sturdy feel in hand.
