Under the hood, the BLU Studio 5.3 is powered by a Mediatek MT6573 chipset featuring either a 650 MHz or an 800 MHz Cortex-A9 CPU, accompanied by a PowerVR SGX531 GPU. At its release, this configuration allowed smooth running of basic smartphone operations and entrance-level multitasking. Coupled with 512MB of both internal storage and RAM, it did face considerable constraints when larger applications were involved, limiting its performance by modern expectations. The phone does come with a microSDHC card slot for storage expansion, providing a bit of relief from these limitations.
