Under the hood, the BQ Aquaris U is powered by the Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430 chipset, featuring an octa-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU, supported by Adreno 505 GPU. This configuration allows for smooth performance for routine tasks such as browsing, messaging, and app usage, but might struggle with more demanding applications or extensive multitasking. Originally shipped with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, the device can be upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat, offering users enhanced features and some level of software longevity, despite being stuck on an older OS now.
