Performance and Software
Running on the Microsoft Windows Mobile 6 Professional OS, the q60 was powered by an Intel XScale PXA270 processor clocked at 520MHz. This combination provided decent performance for productivity tasks, such as running Pocket Office applications and basic web browsing, albeit with limited multitasking capabilities. The internal storage comprised 256MB of ROM and 96MB of RAM, indicative of the time when smartphones were still finding their footing in balancing performance with storage. While expandable storage via a dedicated microSD slot was a welcome feature, the device’s hardware would have struggled with the demand of heavier applications if it had made it to market.
