Battery Life and Connectivity
A removable Li-Ion 1950 mAh battery powered the device, which promised standby times of up to 208 hours on 2G and up to 149 hours on 3G, with talk time reaching up to 16 hours and 40 minutes on 2G and up to 14 hours on 3G. While these numbers suggested it could last a day of moderate use, heavy users might have found themselves needing to charge before the day's end. In terms of connectivity, the Gionee Ctrl V6L supported various network technologies, including LTE on bands 3, 7, 38, 39, 40, and 41, making it viable for fast mobile internet speeds. Other connectivity features included Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, FM radio, and microUSB 2.0. The omission of NFC was a downside, considering emerging technologies that required it, even at the time.
