The Gionee M12 is powered by two potential MediaTek chipsets, dependent on the model variant: the Helio A25 or the Helio P22, both based on a 12nm process. The Helio A25 chipset includes an octa-core CPU with four cores clocked at 1.8 GHz and another four at 1.5 GHz, while the Helio P22 variant ups the CPU clock speed to 2.0 GHz. Accompanied by the PowerVR GE8320 GPU, the device provides satisfactory performance for basic smartphone tasks, though it might struggle with intensive applications and high-end games.
The smartphone offers two variants in terms of memory and storage: 64GB of internal storage paired with 4GB RAM, and a more robust 128GB storage model with 6GB RAM. Both versions support microSDXC, allowing users to expand storage if needed, providing flexibility for media and app storage.
