Running on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, the Gionee M2 is powered by a quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU and a Mali-400 GPU. This combination should allow for smooth performance for basic applications and light multitasking. However, heavier applications and newer software updates could challenge the device's capabilities. It comes with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage, which can be expanded using a microSDHC card, providing users with some additional space for apps and media.
