The device ran on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Gionee's Amigo 3.1 UI. Powered by a MediaTek MT6580 chipset with a quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU and Mali-400MP2 GPU, it was designed to handle basic tasks efficiently. Complemented by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, expandable via a dedicated microSD slot, the M5 mini provided ample room for apps and media for the average user, though it wasn't built for demanding applications or games.
