Haier M260 Design and Build

Design and Build

The Haier M260 sports a compact and rather simplistic design, characteristic of early mobile phones. With dimensions of 104 x 46.5 x 16.8 mm and a weight of 95 grams, it’s pocket-friendly and easy to hold, making it convenient for users who appreciate lightweight devices. Constructed to accommodate a Mini-SIM, the phone's plastic body is available in classic black and white colors, offering a minimalist aesthetic. The screen is a small 1.8-inch TFT resistive touchscreen, capable of displaying 65,000 colors. Though its resolution of 128 x 160 pixels might seem inadequate by today’s standards, it was typical for phones of its era. The screen's aspect ratio with a 21.1% screen-to-body ratio gives room for straightforward navigation and basic interaction, enhanced by handwriting recognition features — a novel addition back then.
