Under the hood, the Honor 6 is powered by the Kirin 920 chipset, which features an octa-core CPU composed of Cortex-A15 and Cortex-A7 cores. This, coupled with the Mali-T624MP4 GPU, provides stable and competent performance, handling everyday tasks and moderate gaming with relative ease. Originally shipped with Android 4.4.2 (KitKat), the phone supports an upgrade to Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), topped with EMUI 3.1. Though the software feels a bit dated by today's standards, it was quite efficient and user-friendly at the time of its release.
