Performance and Software
Running on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with EMUI 8.1, the device is fueled by the MediaTek MT6739 chipset. This quad-core processor, clocked at 1.5 GHz coupled with the PowerVR GE8100 GPU, anchors the phone's performance. While it might falter under demanding usage or high-performance gaming due to its modest capabilities, it remains competent for daily tasks such as texting, calling, and moderate app usage.
The Honor 7S is equipped with 16GB of internal storage which can feel restrictive. Fortunately, an option to expand storage through a dedicated microSDXC card slot is available, mitigating this limitation. RAM options of 1GB or 2GB mean multitasking capabilities are limited, rendering it suitable primarily for users with basic smartphone use cases.
