Under the hood, the Honor 7X is powered by the Kirin 659 chipset, featuring an octa-core CPU configuration that includes both high-performance Cortex-A53 cores and power-efficient ones. The available memory configurations, ranging from 3GB to 4GB RAM, coupled with internal storage options up to 128GB, provide adequate performance for a range of applications. Out of the box, it runs on Android 7.0 Nougat but is upgradable to Android 8.0 Oreo, providing access to newer features and improved security. EMUI 5.1 delivers a smooth and customizable user interface experience.
