Performance and Software
Under the hood, the Honor 8C is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 chipset, built on a 14nm process. It features an octa-core CPU with a balanced split of four Kryo 250 Gold cores and four Kryo 250 Silver cores, all clocked at 1.8 GHz. Coupled with the Adreno 506 GPU, the device handles most applications and games with relative ease, though it might struggle with more demanding tasks. The phone offers several memory configurations: 32GB with 3GB RAM, 32GB with 4GB RAM, and 64GB with 4GB RAM, which allows users to choose based on their storage needs. The presence of a dedicated microSDXC slot is a welcome addition for memory expansion. Running on Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.2, the software experience is familiar to Android users. EMUI adds several customization options and features to enhance usability, even though it might not be as snappy as newer Android versions.
