The Honor Pad 5 8 offers a decent set of connectivity options. It supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac with dual-band capabilities and Wi-Fi Direct for efficient wireless communication. Bluetooth 4.2 is available for connecting to other devices, although it lags behind the more recent versions in terms of speed and range. The tablet includes GPS and GLONASS positioning, beneficial for accurate location-based services, but is exclusive to the cellular model, which also supports GSM, HSPA, and LTE networks.
Notably absent are NFC and FM radio; however, these are not critical omissions given the device's primary use case. The tablet charges and transfers data via a microUSB 2.0 port, which feels slightly outdated compared to the more modern USB-C standard.
