Under the hood, the Honor Play is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset, which was built on a 10 nm process. This powerhouse is accompanied by an octa-core CPU, with four Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.4 GHz, catering to high-performance tasks, and four Cortex-A53 cores optimized for power efficiency. It also features a Mali-G72 MP12 GPU to handle graphics-intensive applications and games efficiently. Available in configurations of either 4GB or 6GB of RAM with 64GB or 128GB of internal storage, users have flexibility based on their storage needs. The inclusion of UFS 2.1 ensures faster data transfer speeds. Initially running on Android 8.1 Oreo, it is upgradable to Android 9.0 Pie with EMUI 9.1, providing a balanced user experience with regular updates.
