Connectivity
The device supported GSM 2G networks across multiple bands, ensuring basic global connectivity. While it featured GPRS Class 10 technology for data transmission, it did not have EDGE capability, which limited faster data communications common in subsequent models. The presence of Wi-Fi 802.11b enabled wireless connectivity for web browsing and email, while Bluetooth 1.1 facilitated data exchange with other devices. However, there was no GPS for positioning, and the lack of a radio and a standard USB port further restricted multimedia functionalities. An infrared port was available for legacy device communication.
