Display and User Interface
The device's front is dominated by a 5.0-inch TFT resistive touchscreen, offering 256K colors, although effective colors make the experience appear closer to 65K due to limitations of the era. The display supports a 640 x 480 pixel resolution, providing a 4:3 aspect ratio that departs from the more widescreen-oriented designs seen in later years. This screen resolution, combined with a pixel density of 160 ppi, suited functionality when detailed graphical interfaces were not as demanding. Unique for its time, the inclusion of handwriting recognition added a layer of personalized interaction that sought to accommodate varied user preferences.
