Performance
Under the hood, the 816G comes in two primary variants depending on the region, featuring different chipsets. The India model is powered by a quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 processor coupled with a Mali-400MP2 GPU, while the Southeast Asia (SEA) model boasts a more powerful octa-core 1.7 GHz setup. With 1GB of RAM, the performance is adequate for basic tasks such as browsing and social media; however, heavier applications and multitasking could potentially feel laggy. Running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat with HTC's Sense UI 6, the user experience is smooth, though the software quickly became dated as newer versions of Android were released.
