Performance
Powered by a Qualcomm MSM7230 chipset combined with an 800 MHz Scorpion CPU and Adreno 205 GPU, the HTC Desire Z delivers satisfactory performance for basic tasks and apps. It initially runs on Android 2.2 (Froyo) but can be upgraded to Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), enhanced with HTC's Sense UI for a more personalized interface. It comes with 512MB of RAM, which restricts its ability to handle multiple applications simultaneously compared to modern standards, but it remains capable for basic smartphone functionalities. The internal memory is capped at 1.5GB, expandable through a dedicated microSDHC slot, allowing users to store additional data and media.
