The HTC EVO Shift 4G runs on Android 2.2 (Froyo), upgradable to 2.3 (Gingerbread) with HTC's Sense UI overlay, ensuring a user-friendly interface. Its 800 MHz Scorpion CPU, part of the Qualcomm MSM7630 Snapdragon S2 chipset, was modest even then but adequate for basic tasks and casual use. Paired with an Adreno 205 GPU, it could handle entry-level graphics tasks. The inclusion of a dedicated microSDHC card slot, with a 2GB card included, provided expandable storage options, complementing its 2GB internal storage and 512MB RAM.
