Running on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, with HTC's Sense UI 4 overlay, the user interface was designed for fluid multi-tasking and intuitive navigation. Powered by a dual-core 1.5 GHz processor and 1GB of RAM, the HTC J delivered satisfactory performance for standard applications and moderate multitasking. Although it didn't cater to intensive gaming or high-end graphics applications, it effectively handled basic smartphone functions, indicating a mid-range performance level typical of its release era. The 16GB of internal storage, expandable via a microSDHC card slot, allowed users the flexibility to store media and applications, accommodating individual storage needs.
