Under the hood, the HTC One A9 runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 chipset with an octa-core CPU configuration. The combination of 4 x 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 and 4 x 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53 processors, alongside the Adreno 405 GPU, enabled the phone to handle everyday tasks and moderate multitasking with ease. It was initially launched with Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is upgradable to Android 7.0 Nougat, enhanced by HTC’s Sense UI for a personalized user experience. Memory configurations of 16GB internal storage with 2GB RAM, or 32GB with 3GB RAM, offered flexibility though the storage could be expanded via a dedicated microSDXC slot.
