Camera Capabilities
The HTC One was an early adopter of what was then a novel idea in smartphone photography – focusing on larger pixel sizes rather than higher pixel counts. The main camera was a 4 MP UltraPixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). While 4 MP may sound low, the larger 2µm pixels aimed to capture more light, improving photos taken in low-light conditions. It was capable of recording 1080p video at 30fps and offered features like HDR and stereo sound recording. The 2.1 MP front camera also supported HDR and captured 1080p video, suitable for video calls and basic selfies.
